Ranbir Kapoor has been watching too many Bollywood movies...

Rishi Kapoor's, big-nosed son, Ranbir Kapoor, is currently dating Om Shanti Om star, Deepika Padukone. Deepika is supposed to be desperate to make herself part of the Kapoor clan and is said to tag along wherever the Kapoors are going as well as attending every family event.

Aah! a truly devoted bahu, you say? Not according to Rishi, who has apparently grown tired of being stalked by a sexy shadow with kickass legs.

Despite the parents exasperation, Ranbir refuses to tell Deepika to back off and has become determined to change his family's mind, because apparently eh believes in the "power of love" and feels his parents will soon get used to his grilfriends simpering (*cough* fake *cough*) adoration.

Sucks to be Deepika. I hate it when you go out of your way to make people like you and they just say that you're being a brown-noser. It's so rude. 

I think the Kapoor's should be pleased.Their son's grilfriend is so far out of his league that well... there're no words. She's just massively out of his league. The Kapoor's should shut up and be happy that hopefully in the long run they can have some pretty-looking grand kids.

Let's face it. If Ranbir's surname wasn't Kapoor he wouldn't be dating a model... More likely than not he wouldn't be dating... anything... Rather he'd be spending Saturday nights with a tub of Vaseline and the internet.

In case you didn't catch the subtleties of the above joke, here it is in condensed form. If Ranbir Kapoor wasn't a "Kapoor-Kapoor"... He'd be me.

Kat gets kicked out!

Wow, just when it seemed that Katrina Kaif could do no wrong, she gets totally dissed by being cut out of a movie altogether. The Welcome star was supposed to be one of the three girls romanced by Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno, the other two being Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone.

Unfortunately, director Siddharth Anand became camera-happy and shot a whole bunch of scenes with Bips and Dips that seemed perfect for the movie...so perfect that they took up the whole movie and Kat was left out, without a single scene shot.

"If we had kept Katrina's portion Bachna Ae Haseenon would've been one of the longest films in the history of Hindi cinema….much much beyond three hours."

"Nobody had the heart to break the news to her. When she heard she was out Katrina was really upset. But what to do? In fact Katrina's track was one of our favourites. But she saw our point of view when she saw the film. The only reason we dropped her track was because it hadn't been shot.

Otherwise she's the biggest star we've in our film. Katrina has had only one flop in her entire career. Dropping her track upset all of us."

That can't have been an easy choice for the Ta Ra Rum Pum director, and this cancellation leaves Katrina with only one more release this year. I wonder if boyfriend Sallu can do anything for Kat's career now? Should Siddharth be scared for insulting Kat, because Salman is definitely the arm-breaking kind-of guy.

Indians aren't sexy...

Mens Boys mag, FHM, recently released their annual list of 100 sexiest women in the world (Which coincidentally had Britney Spears at no. 100). Said list included hags like Paris Hilton (77) as well as Tara Reid (56) which leads me to wonder... have the perverts voting for this list just woken up from a cryogenic chamber in which they were frozen in 1999?

Despite having place for the tranny from the Pussycat Dolls (97) and the skeletor handed wench that is Madonna (87), FHM did not have any place in the list for any female of sub-continental descent. Not even the "most beautiful woman in the world" (TM) Aishwarya Rai.

Does that make FHM racist?

No. It just proves that FHM is read by a bunch of 13 year old American boys who look up to Brandon Davis as a role model, who hold Lindsay Lohan as the epitome of female beauty (especially when she's flashing), whose daily highlight is coming home from another day of getting beaten up at school to procure passwords for paid porn sites from internet forums before cracking out some knuckle babies... Or so I've heard... *ahem*... I've never done it obviously... Because... umm... I was way too tired after school... Y'know... from all the manly sports... that I played... Like football... and ummm... baseball... and... umm... squash?

Anyway, are Indians really not sexy or are the 13 year old kids stupid?

I mean... If I bought FHM instead of downloading it from torrent sites (It's not stealing if... if... OK, fine, I steal a 3 Dollar magazine. Sue me... Except FHM... Please don't sue me FHM.), and I could actually be bothered to vote I'm sure I'd have found a place in that list for the following:

-Aishwarya Rai
-Priyanka Chopra
-Rani Mukherji (She looks hot with makeup on... Without makeup she's a bit meh... But that's applicable to every woman on that list)
-Lara Dutta
-Bipasha Basu

... And that's just a start. And it's not like I'm overrating Indian women... Because which idiot would choose Tara Reid over Priyanka Chopra? A Ku Klux Klan idiot, that's who!

Bollywood Revolves Around Akshay?

That's what Akshay Kumar wants. The super-hit machine actor has thrown down the gauntlet to Yash Raj. Either movies are all about him or he won't act anymore! I can see it now, "Akshay Kumar in Akshay, a movie about the handsome actor who has everything he could ever want, besides his own talk-show." Could this guy's head get any bigger?

Akshay's problem with Yash Raj and Aditya Chopra came to the fore when he was not used solely on promotional material for Tashan (note, this is a multi-starrer movie) and he's refused to attend any promotional events for movie either, especially if he has to go to them with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

I guess it's understandable, since Akshay usually has been the male lead in most of his movies, that he doesn't appreciate sharing the limelight with Saif and Kareena, but to demand that the movie be all about him is ridiculous. I doubt even Bebo has such a big head. Aditya isn't stupid though and he's been using Saif and Kareena's relationship to market the film...yes, it's cheap, but it's just good business.

It's not known whether the split is from Akshay or Aditya, but don't expect to see Akki in any Yash Raj films soon. Don't worry though, Akshay will never be far from our screens, with three other releases planned for 2008, he's still the 'stalker' of Bollywood.

Love Story 2050 Will Be Better Than Krrish Promises Baweja...

Harry Baweja, the director of the upcoming Love Story 2050, promises audiences that his upcoming film will be better than the 2006 Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish. Baweja is reported to have brought in technicians who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and seems to be childishly excited about what the future holds for the film's star (his son), Harman.

Regarding the role Harman plays in the film, Harry says "The hero is young, energetic and part of Gen X." He also says the Harman's role isn't the stereotypical "Beefy Jungle-Man" because the current cinematic climate has moved away from such "Rocky" and "Terminator" roles.

God. I hope this movie flops massively. For so many reasons.

Reason 1: The director is a jackass, who seems to think that robbing scenes and ideas from games and movies is "cutting edge". (Check out the trailer, I saw Street Fighter, Star Wars, Back to the Future and Krrish)

And ummm... Well that's the only reason I want it to flop. How dare they steal the idea of the fireball from something as brilliant and manly as Street Fighter and apply it to some (probably) crap musical?!!

And about the "Jungle-Man" thing, the only reason Bollywood has moved away from the so-called "Jungle-Man" is because when the aforementioned "Jungle-man" starts dancing it kills the machismo straight away. I mean... can you imagine John McCain breaking into a jig after taking out an entire terrorist unit?!

I think not my friends. I think not...

Salman Khan-Making Waves on the Fashion Scene

The handsome and popular star Salman Khan seems to be making the headlines nowadays with his new avatar. He is one who never stops surprising the audience and has been re-inventing himself time and again. The actor has decided to make a foray into yet another creative field. This time it’s the fashion field that has caught the fancy of the actor.  He has decided to launch his own clothing line. With designing help from sister Alvira Khan, the new fashion wear should soon be ready to make the headlines. Salman sure knows how to make news and also rake in the moolah.

Many of the Bollywood stars are turning to the fashion world with the name, fame and money that the field promises to offer. From lending their name to top clothing brands, the stars are now turning to launching their very own clothing line. Actor John Abraham along with Wrangler the top brand has launched his own fashion line. Soon to enter the field are the beautiful actresses Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu. With several Bollywood stars planning their entry to the hep and happening fashion scene, it sure is going to be tough competition out there. Way to go!!

Shahid Won't Listen to the Doctor

Very Bad Shahid!

One just has to look at Shahid Kapoor's muscles to know that he wasn't born like that, and it's true. The Vivah star has to spend lots of time in the gym to keep his physique drool-worthy. Unlike most of us however, Shahid actually likes the gym!

During one of his extreme work-outs recently, poor Shahid pulled a muscle in his neck quite badly and had to be rushed to the hospital. Luckily, there wasn't much wrong with him that a few painkillers and bed rest wouldn't fix. While most men would love the idea of staying in bed for a few days, being waited on hand and foot by mummy dearest (or any other willing individual), Shahid was back in the gym by day three.

While I admire his commitment, having his mother around really could have helped. A sharp slap does wonders! There's a reason why the doctor prescribed 10 days of bed rest and Shahid was very silly not to listen.

Girls beware, you might be seeing a few too many Shahid wannabe's on the street soon, as stylist Dilsah reports,

"Earlier people wanted a hair cut like Shah Rukh's. Today they are demanding for a hairstyle like Shahid's"

Apparently he's sporting a different look for Kismat Konnection...a cropped look. We'll have to see it before we can say anything good about it.

Guess Who Likes Salman Rushdie?

Salman Rushdie, the author who's claim to fame is the fact that he managed to piss off about 1/6th of the world's population, is apparently getting cosy with Bollywood starlet (Still a starlet, despite the fact that she's approaching 30 and the only reason she's still relevant is due to the fact that she acted in a softcore porno with her ex... So an Indian Paris Hilton if you will.) Riya Sen.

When asked about the "friendship", Rushdie said that they were indeed good friends. Riya however was less forthcoming, saying,"Leave me alone! Don't ask me this question! I don't want to comment!"

I would do the same thing if I were "friends" with Mr. Rushdie. And by "friends" I mean... groped him.

But still, the main question is... How does Mr. Rushdie end up with so many girls that are so patently out of his league? First Padma Lakshmi, now Riya Sen?

I know the saying beauty likes brains but this is ridiculous. Rushdie is a short man that resembles a pug with a beard that comes out in clumps, while I'm a short man-child that doesn't resemble a pug with a masculine beard that only comes out in clumps at the bottom (Hey! Mummy said it's going to be proper soon! You'll see!), and you don't see me dating supermodels and actresses.

Me? I stay on my level. Which means Saturday nights spent at home playing Football Manager. High-Five!!!

Abhi-Ash to Star in Mani Ratnam’s Next

Abhishek-Aishwarya, the lovey-dovey couple of Bollywood, still smitten by the love bug are once again coming together to recreate their onscreen magic.

Aishwarya who won the Miss World title, went on to make an entry onto the Bollywood scene. She has carved a niche for herself here to say the least. With several hit films like “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”, “Devdas”, the popular number “Kajarare” of “Bunty and Babli” to her credit, the beautiful actress definitely has gone places. She ultimately decided to tie the knot with Abhishek Bachchan on the 20th April 2007. She came as a whiff of fresh air into his life after the much media-hyped Abhishek-Karisma break-up. After the personal  disasters the couple had found love at last.

Abhi-Ash starred together in the hit film “Dhoom 2.” They created waves with the Mani Ratnam biggie “Guru” and are now all set to recreate the magic. The chemistry between the two was evident in “Guru.” They are going to be paired together in none other than Mani Ratnam’s  next “Lajjo”. The announcement of the film has already led to a lot of speculation. The genius of Mani Ratnam combined with the charisma of Abhi-Ash, the film would sure be one worth waiting for.

Salman is Crazy and Possessive

He’s crazily possessive…and he can’t seem to let go of a grudge. Even though Salman Khan has often proved that he’s very generous and sweet, sometimes his behaviour borders on child-like as he holds petty grudges against actors.

It has been reported that Salman Khan supposedly forbid an unofficial girlfriend Katrina Kaif from acting in Ken Ghosh’s next project. The reason? Because she’ll be acting opposite Shahid Kapoor. It doesn’t make sense to me why Salman would freak over his girlfriend acting with a cutie like Shahid…oh wait, I get it. Yeah, I couldn’t be trusted alone with Shahid either.

Salman insists that trust isn’t an issue, he just doesn’t like Shahid Kapoor. There’s been reported tension between Sallu and Shahid since a world tour but I didn’t know it was that bad. A source gives us some details, 

“Everything was hunky dory till recently. Apparently, Katrina has problems with the dates and consequently, wants to opt out. But the real reason is that Salman doesn’t want her to work with Shahid because he has had a spat with the actor during a world tour in the past,” 

Firstly, the source needs to leave the 80’s and stop using words like “hunky dory” and secondly, Salman needs to take that out that belly-piercing because it’s turning him into a spiteful cheerleader. Ken will be OK however, as he still has Jiah Khan as his back-up starlet. Luckily she doesn’t have a crazy boyfriend.
