Is Preity pretty mean?

Preity_3 If anyone wants to throw things at me for that lame pun, feel free to do so. Even I cringed as I wrote it.

Preity Zinta has not been doing much in Bollywood recently and seems to have taken her role as the co-owner of a cricket team quite seriously. Is it ironic that her 'Kings XI Punjab' haven't won a single match in the Indian Premier League tournament? The news just gets worse, with Preity and boyfriend Ness Wadia accused of discrimination towards her players. Apparently, they asked certain players to move out of the five-star Taj hotel to some lesser accommodation that may even be -gasp!- four-star.

The allegations were supposedly brought up by one of the trainee youngsters that were in a special development programme for potentially talented cricketers, who mentioned to the press that him and other trainees were housed in a different hotel from the main 16-man squad.

The Jhoom Barabar Jhoom star insists that these allegations are false,

“There’s no discrimination. We are in fact, trying to keep the game as much free of glitches as possible. Such negative stories aren’t helping our efforts at all.”

So is that the excuse for the pathetic efforts of the 'Kings XI Punjab'? That evil rumours like this lower their morale which results in losses? I'm sure. However, another source reports that the trainees were only housed separately because there wasn't any room in the Taj.

Update: Good news for Preity, finally, it looks like the 'Kings XI' are going to win their first match against the originally named 'Mumbai Indians'. Yay for Preity!
