Sonal gets slapped!

Don't you just hate people that want to know you after you become rich and famous, though they ignored you before? Well, Jannat actress Sonal Chauhan better get ready for some more people like that coming her way, when the actress had to deal with an old 'friend' at an airport.

Sonal was at Mumbai's domestic terminal with her father when an old friend, Sahil Zaroo, approached her and tried to hug her. He then tried to take her cell phone and when he pushed her away, he lashed out and slapped her.

Apparently Sahil had been trying to rekindle his friendship with Sonal recently but she had resisted his advances and apparently, her refusal to acknowledge him resulted in him screaming and abusing her, grabbing her phone and chucking it away and then culminated it by slapping her in the presence of all. Needless to say, he was arrested and charged with outraging the modesty of a woman, causing hurt and damage and trespassing on airport premises.

Her father says about the incident,

"She knew Zaroo for some time and was lately avoiding him due to which he used to send her obscene SMSes,"

I don't know whether her father isn't that proficient with English or the journalist who interviewed him was a moron, but that's just bad grammar. My English teacher would roll in her grave...you know, if she was dead.

This would be a good time for Sonal to have had a boyfriend like Emraan Hashmi around who wouldn't have thought twice about shooting the guy in the gut. No, but violence is bad. Be good kids.
