'Wedding Crashers'...coming to you in Hindi!

Wedding I don't even know how they're planning to translate that title. "Vho loug jo Shaadi par jahte hain beghair invitation kai" would be the most literal translation but it's not very catchy.

After David Dhawan got into trouble for stealing the storyline from Hollywood's Hitch for Partner, Bollywood is now a lot more careful of what they copy. That is why Nikhil Advani is making sure that his production house 'Orion Pictures' has the blessing and support from Warner Bros as they remake Wedding Crashers in Hindi.

Mukesh Talreja from Orion Pictures says,

"David Dhawan has said yes. This film has all the ingredients of a masala film. Weddings are big in India, and this movie will have all the Bollywood emotions."

Followed by Warner Bros representative who says,

"I wouldn't say this means extra bucks. This film will mark Warner Brothers' entry in the Indian market. We hope people follow the trend."

In other words, Bollywood will stop stealing ideas from English movies. I mean, there is only so many times you can do the love story but surely Indian writers aren't that lacking in originality. If worse comes to worst, they can ask me to write. My idea is a love story between a guy and a girl, where the girl is supposed to have an arranged marriage but she runs away and meets a man that she eventually falls in love with. Through a cruel twist of fate, the girl has to return to her family and is still expected to marry the guy that her parents chose for her and surprisingly, it turns out to be the man that she's in love with who had also run away from an arranged marriage.

Now tell me, isn't that a brilliant story right there? Call me Bollywood!
