Mallika's new film is full of love and pain

By pain, I don't mean emotional my-girlfriend-left me pain, but physical my-girlfriend-slapped-me-senseless pain. That seems to be the selling point of Mallika Sherawat's new movie Ugly aur Pagli, that features Ranvir Shorey as the beaten up boyfriend.

While the trailer shows Ranvir being slapped multiple times, the movie also contains some face-sucking. That is, Mallika and Ranvir do kiss a few times. Ranvir recently spoke about his role and spilled the beans,

"It's a film about lucky kisses. So yes, there're lots of kisses. How many? You think I was counting? I really don't think the kisses are a big deal. The kisses are a device to pass on the good luck from one character to another.

Hope the good luck passes on to the film as well. Honestly I just have a cameo in the film. The producer came to me with a part he thought only I could play. It's the role of a gigolo,"

Lucky kisses? Wasn't that also the plot of Just my Luck? Another Indian rip-off? We'll have to see after watching the movie.

While Ranvir is waiting for the release of the movie on the 25th of July, Mallika is in a little bit of trouble. The actress is in some trouble with the decency police in Chennai for recording a song for Ugly aur Pagli, where she totters around in an inebriated state, which is apparently frowned on.

So now the producers of Ugly aur Pagli are being sued for promoting alcoholism. What is the world coming to, when you can't have a little drunken fun now and then?
