Sonam actually cares what people think

In today's Bollywood, we've gotten used to actresses and actors who insist that nudity, skin-shows and kissing is embarrassing for them, yet they continue to do it anyways. Others bore us to death with the same old record that they won't kiss etc (Ayesha Takia, I'm talking to you!) but others actually do what they says. A refreshing change in the industry.

Sonam Kapoor is acting in her new movie Dilli 6 with Abhishek Bachchan and finds that she makes a decent pair with the junior Bachchan, despite the 9 year age difference.

"Abhishek and I are very well-matched, height-wise. And though he's very mischievous I find him very mature. While Ranbir is someone I've grown up with, Abhishek is a someone I can look up to as a co-star. He's really cool."

"In fact, I'm learning so much from all my co-stars in Dilli 6. Abhishek and I, and our director Rakeysh Mehra are so much in awe of Waheeda Rehmanji. During rehearsals every time she reads a scene there's pindrop silence for a few minutes. We're all busy staring at her. When people, including Waheedaji herself, said I look like her I feel I'll just faint with pride."

At the moment she's busy with Dilli 6, but other reports suggest that she gave up a role with a big Bollywood actor because the role required nudity and a love making scene, which she refuses to do because she's uncomfortable with the exposure and doesn't want to embarrass her family either. She says that Rakesh Mehra is protective of her as well, preferring her in Indian shalwaar-kameez rather than a Western look.

She ends with "I can't be doing any role which would make my father, mother and the rest of my family cringe at the premiere. Call me a prude, but that's that way I am. My father has a 40-year reputation in the industry. And I'm not going to tarnish it."

Dear sonam ,
I read that you dont want to go to do a nude scene to tarnish your father's 40 years image . here i want to say that its cool for you but i also not going to spend you see you in salwar suit because i have enough beautiful girls to see on the roads and just for it i am not going to pay . If you are so concerned about your father's image why did you come here in bollywood ? you a flop actress but due to your father's name you are getting movies . I wish you to be kicked out of industry as soon as possible
