Unforgettable tour opens well... I die a little inside...
You know... I hate these Bollywood tours. Sure, at times they're interesting, even amusing. Yet for the most part it's just a bunch of below average dancers lip syncing to someone else's music. That's like paying money to watch K-Fed... Except K-Fed is a better dancer than Abhishek.
It becomes worse when you realize that the good tickets (i.e the ones where you can actually see that it's a Bollywood star on stage and not a stunt double) retail at close to a quarter of a thousand dollars (Yes. I could've said $250. But than it would've sounded less expensive.) I mean... you could easily hire a hooker stripper clown for a birthday party with that kind of money. He'll basically do the same thing.
Getting back to the topic, the Unforgettable tour opened on Friday at the Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada. 10000 people showed up at a venue which can hold up to 55000. Regardless, of the empty seats the opening show was considered to be a commercial success. The tour now moves on to America, as Canada breathes a sigh of relief... and awaits their comeback tour on the 17th of August.
You know what I hate most about this Unforgettable Tour? Their website. As soon as I get on the frickin' page I get an annoying error-message-thingamajig that says, "Christmas is here!". No jokes.
Really?! Christmas is here?!
Because I really can't see how watching Abhishek awkwardly shake his gangly body like a 6 foot Bambi or watching Amitabh try to dance with no movement whatsoever so as to avoid dislocating his hip is akin to the birth of Jesus. At all.
Still. At least the site is well maintained. And by maintained... I mean ignored. Except for apparently one man, who seems intent to post as much free internet porn on the forum as is humanly possible. God speed, good sir!
