When he decided to shoot a very expensive song for his new film Veer.
Salman Khan is still branching out (first it was painting, then charities, now this) and has written a song for Veer. In a tribute to his great talent, director Anil Sharma set aside 3.5 crore (35 million) rupees for
the shooting of the song that involves 600 junior artists.
The song took 11 days to shoot and also included Sohail Khan and Mithun Chakraborty, although the name of the new actress starring with Salman is still being kept a secret. Since Sallu wrote the song, he contributed a lot to its conceptualization and was on set for the entire 11 days, even when his scenes weren't being shot.
The whopper of a cash bundle set aside for the song makes it the most costliest song ever recorded in Bollywood, even beating out Jodha-Akbar's 'Azeemoshaan Shahenshah' which used to be the most expensive.
No one knows yet what Veer is about, but after God Tussi Great Ho and the assumed flop that will be Yuvraaj, Sallu will be hoping for a hit to save his floundering career.
