Mallika Sherawat is here to create history. After the huge publicity of playing the part of an Indian princess alongside none other than actor Jackie Chan she is set for yet another first. Actress Mallika Sherawat is yet again in the news breaking records.
Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch, daughter of the renowned David Lynch is here in Mumbai and she is the very first Hollywood director all set to make a Bollywood film that too, completely in Hindi. The film titled “Naagin – The Snake Woman,” is the story of a snake woman or the Naagin and has Mallika Sherawat and Irfaan Khan in the lead. The role of the villain is played by an American actor. The film would be shot in South India in parts of Chennai and the scenic backwaters of Kerala.
The director when asked about the choice of the theme says, “I will change the perspective in the West about snakes and they will be respected hereafter.” Mallika fans are in for some fireworks with the sensuous dance sequences and scenes that are planned in keeping with their expectations. On being asked about, “Why Mallika?”, the director Jennifer Lynch says, “I feel Mallika has that crossover quality, I will help her achieve that, she’s definitely made for better things.” Better things so it is for Mallika, and after a different role in “Ugly Aur Pagli” we have her experimenting yet again in the role of the sensuous Naagin.
