Psychiatrists all over India, are up in arms over the way "crazy people" or in more politically correct language, "psychos" have been portrayed in Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4. The movie which portrays a schizophrenic, a delusional nutcase, an autistic savant, and the stereotypical "angry Indian guy" opened last Friday and psychiatrists are questioning the accuracy of the portrayals of said psychos.
Producer Rakesh Roshan, however, is unperturbed saying that during the filming of the movie he had attended mental homes and noted the habits of the mentalists inside them and that the protestors are merely hungry for attention.
... I don't really like to agree with the famous, but this is ridiculous. Who the hell actually watches a movie and thinks, "Wow... this must be exactly how it is in real life!" (Apart from Britney Spears... God bless her broken soul)?
I mean... Just because I watched "To Kill a Mockingbird" doesn't mean I'm going to try and pay my lawyer with chestnuts and expect him to be honest. And just because I watched "I Know Who Killed Me" (Piss off! Don't laugh at me! It's a movie with strippers. Even if the stripper is a freckled pasty from the Bronx I have to watch it. My hormones force me too! And Lindsay Lohan cleans up really well! Honest!) doesn't mean I think all woman are whores with a twin double that will feel everything they feel (Trust me. You'll be glad I "spoiled" the movie for you). And just because I watched "Super Size Me" doesn't mean I'm gonna stop eating burgers (mmmm... Burgers... nom nom nom).
Ultimately what I'm saying is that psychiatrists should stop thinking that people take life lessons from movies. Where not all as crazy as they are.
(Except Jaws... Because... y'know... the sea is a big place... and who knows? Stop Laughing!!! It could happen! I hate you!)
