Love Story 2050 doesn't match up to Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Is it a coincidence that the amount of money put into publicity equals the success of the movie? In that case, Harry Baweja should be very depressed, after all the work and effort he put into Love Story 2050 only to have it crash and burn at the box office.

What did succeed however is the debut of Aamir Khan's nephew Imraan Khan in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, which looks like it will be a commercial success even though it was on a lesser budget than LS 2050 and took less time to shoot. Harry is literally pulling his hair at the bad reviews that LS 2050 is getting...on the other hand, Aamir is bringing Imraan in on another one of his projects.

A source reports,

"Aamir always had Imraan at the back of his mind but was vary of how the audience would connect with him in his debut film,"

"But since the verdict is now out, loud and clear, in Imraan's favor, Aamir has decided to go with him."

"Aamir wants Imraan to experiment with every film and not get stuck in a lover boy image. Delhi Belly is a sex comedy and the character of the protagonist will be surprisingly different from what audiences expect of Imraan. Aamir wants Imraan to surprise everyone,"

So Aamir is hoping to make Imran into...well, him. I guess from the recent newcomers in the industry, including Harman Baweja and Ranbir Kapoor, Imran is the most bankable.

There is still no leading lady cast for Delhi Belly as yet, but the girls will be queuing up to have a go in Aamir's production house, which seems to be taking over from Yash Raj...at least in making consistently hit movies...so far.

July 4 – The war of the titans?

With big names of the film industry planning a blast (literally) on the 4^th of July, it sure is going to be a war of the titans. The date is fast approaching and Friday is going to see two new youngsters setting foot in the world of Bollywood. Yes, you guessed right it is Harman Baweja and Imraan Khan (actor Aamir Khan’s nephew).

The mega film "Love story 2050" is going to be released on the same date as Aamir’s “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na”. With promotional activities on in full swing, it is all about reaching out to and appealing to the cine goer. Who would be more successful in driving home the message? Can money power actually be of any help? Would it be the success of the best man, just a few days more…and we have all the answers.

Harry Baweja has left no stones unturned in the film "Love story 2050" for son Haraman. He has used the best special effects…robots and the works. Actors Harman Baweja and co-star Priyanka Chopra are playing their parts of promoting the film to perfection. Their romantic link up too is expected to create some interest in the first film that the couple is going to be seen together in.

On the other hand, Aamir is definitely working very hard to make the launch of his nephew a stupendous success.

May the best man win… being an ardent fan of Aamir and Priyanka Chopra definitely has me in two minds. Which one should I go for on Friday the 4^th of July…..who would ultimately win in the Harman vs Imraan case…..a big gamble.

Harman Baweja is scared...

Harman Baweja's first film, Love Story 2050, is set to be released on the 4th of July. Aaah the 4th of July. It reeks of independence. I guess Amir Khan thought so too, which is why he decided to be independent and go against the will of Harry Baweja (Harman's dad) and launch his movie on the exact same day.

Harman, who was already shaken up due to the comparison's with Hrithik Roshan (Not helped by the fact that when he came on to the stage at the Love Story 2050 music launch he was greeted with calls of "Hrithik Hrithik." According to Harman he handled the incident with dignity. According to me, he hired a bouncer to throw the guy out. Dignified.) and the speculation over his personal life, is upset that now he'll actually have to be competing with someone for ticket sales (How dare they?!).

He says, "Someone is up to dirty tricks for sure."

Wow... It must be a sad life... drowning in paranoia. Sure Harman... Someone has nothing better to do with their time than plot your downfall.

OK... I admit I do plot your downfall daily. But I consider myself quite evil and hence plotting your downfall somehow fits into my grand scheme of... ummm... you know... being evil. And I'm bored.

Anyway... It's so satisfying to stick pins into Voodoo dolls.

Harman Baweja is poor...

Reports say that Love Story 2050 star Harman Baweja, better known as Harry Baweja's spawn, better known as Priyanka Chopra's boyfriend took said girlfriend out on a romantic dinner recently. In order to make the dinner as romantic as possible, Harman proceeded to order bottle after bottle of expensive wine, this boosted the value of the bill to a princely 1 Lakh Rupees (Lakh = 100000). When Harman was presented with the bill he flourished his credit card with a massive smug grin on his face (I assume). A grin that said, I look like a paindoo that should be serving gol gappay on the side of the street instead... I'm tapping that. She was a Miss World y'know.

That grin was to be wiped off way too soon... the waiter came back and told Harman loudly and brashly in front of the entire restaurant, "You're credit card was de-(wait for it)-nied! Denied!". Harman Baweja started to cry like a little girl and Priyanka Chopra in a fit of pity for the blustering fool decided to foot the bill.

That's probably not exactly how it happened... But I thought I'd use my artistic license to try and create a more vivid picture (And to make Baweja Jr. look bad).

... I have no idea why I dislike him so much. I mean... I always dislike filmi kids... But my level of hate for Harman is... extreme.

I really, really hope Love Story 2050 flops. Firstly because it ripped off the fireball from the most awesome game of all time (i.e. Street Fighter) and secondly because of some nutjob commentor that finds any blog that even mentions Love Story 2050 and leaves this comment (Seriously, look on any blog),

I bet it's Harry Baweja. I can imagine his tubby little fingers typing "Love Story 2050" into Google, before he starts pasting said message on any blog he can find.

I bet that tubby, beady eyed, fool is giggling to himself, thinking how smart he is. I bet he's thinking, "I can't make a movie to save my life. But damn, I know how to promote a movie. I'm so hip and new age. I wonder what that button does... Oh... Crap. I restarted the damn thing again."

I'm onto you Harry.

Oh. And Harry if you post that message here, I will find you. I will hunt you down, even if I have to invest my family's life savings, just to kick you in your most private of regions for being an annoying spammer.

Love Story 2050 Will Be Better Than Krrish Promises Baweja...

Harry Baweja, the director of the upcoming Love Story 2050, promises audiences that his upcoming film will be better than the 2006 Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish. Baweja is reported to have brought in technicians who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and seems to be childishly excited about what the future holds for the film's star (his son), Harman.

Regarding the role Harman plays in the film, Harry says "The hero is young, energetic and part of Gen X." He also says the Harman's role isn't the stereotypical "Beefy Jungle-Man" because the current cinematic climate has moved away from such "Rocky" and "Terminator" roles.

God. I hope this movie flops massively. For so many reasons.

Reason 1: The director is a jackass, who seems to think that robbing scenes and ideas from games and movies is "cutting edge". (Check out the trailer, I saw Street Fighter, Star Wars, Back to the Future and Krrish)

And ummm... Well that's the only reason I want it to flop. How dare they steal the idea of the fireball from something as brilliant and manly as Street Fighter and apply it to some (probably) crap musical?!!

And about the "Jungle-Man" thing, the only reason Bollywood has moved away from the so-called "Jungle-Man" is because when the aforementioned "Jungle-man" starts dancing it kills the machismo straight away. I mean... can you imagine John McCain breaking into a jig after taking out an entire terrorist unit?!

I think not my friends. I think not...
